not sure if im gonna go with the fake rocket exhaust but it looks ok from a distance.
i put a strobing led in the tailpipe, the fire effect is made from a mutilated electrical screwdriver handle and some thick red plastic lighting gel cut into strips.

Wow, your models are truly amazing!
I love your use of random objects - I bet your house is even more full of interesting shaped bits of metal, salvaged bits of elecronics and bits of junk 'that will come in useful one day' than my house is!
the sheer amount of stuff round my work area when i get going on something truly defies description.
but i always seem to know where to find things in all the chaos.
i have a ton of art related rubbish
and yes it will be useful for somthing someday.
Haha, sounds like my workspace - at the moment it is buried in lots of bits of fake plastic plant, an assortment of resistors, LEDs and bulbs, lots of interesting bits and bobs from the £1 shop, some cool transparent transistor type thingies... oooh, and some vintage meccanno cogs....
Makes me happy to know I'm not the only person trawling the pound shops thinking things like "hmmmm, that pepper pot would make a perfect alien propulsion system".
Fab!
My place is a complete tip as well, though mainly because I'm a massive untidy slob...
excellent!
